Who we are
sfera is a hiring service operated by Sofía Suárez, an independent professional based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, who is responsible for your data. For any question about it, write to contact@sferapeople.com.
What we collect
- From companies: your name, job title, company, work email, the service you are interested in, the roles you are hiring for, and anything else you share in the contact form.
- From candidates: name, email, LinkedIn profile, area, seniority, country, English level and your CV, if you upload it, plus the date you agreed to be contacted.
- From business contacts we reach out to: professional information that is public, such as name, role and company, used to propose our services.
- Basic technical data, such as IP address and browser type, which our hosting provider records to keep the site working and secure.
Filling in our forms is voluntary. The fields marked as required are the minimum we need to reply to you. We do not ask for sensitive data such as ID numbers, health information, religion or political views. Please do not include them in your CV or messages; if we receive them, we will delete them.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To reply to requests from companies and to deliver the services they ask for. Basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business.
- To contact candidates about real openings that match their profile. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To contact companies we think we can help. Basis: our legitimate interest; you can ask us to stop at any time.
- To keep a record of our work and keep the site secure. Basis: our legitimate interest.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
Who can see it
sfera and the specialists who work with us on a search. We also use service providers to run the website and store records: Netlify (hosting and forms), Airtable (our records database), an automation service that moves form submissions into that database, Google (email), and AI assistants that help us organize and summarize information. These providers process data on our behalf. We make no decision about a candidate solely by automated means; a person always reviews it.
We share a candidate profile with a hiring company only after talking with the candidate about that specific role.
Transfers outside your country
Some of our providers store data outside your country, including in the United States. We transfer your data there only with your express consent, which we collect in our forms, or when it is needed to provide the service you asked for. Where available, we also rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep candidate profiles for up to 24 months after our last contact, and company enquiries for as long as they are useful to our work together, or until you ask us to delete them. If you ask us to delete your data, we also delete your CV.
How we protect it
We limit access to the people who need it, protect our accounts with two-step verification, and use providers that encrypt data in transit. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities when the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your data, ask for a copy of it, or withdraw your consent, at any time by writing to contact@sferapeople.com. We will reply within the legal deadlines: 10 calendar days for access requests under Argentine law, and one month under the GDPR. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before.
In Argentina, personal data is protected by Law 25.326. You can exercise your right of access free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless you show a legitimate interest (article 14, section 3). The Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP), the supervisory authority, handles complaints about non-compliance with the law.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
